After having experienced giving birth two times myself, I was hoping for a opportunity to photograph a birth. Having been too timid to ask expecting friends I just kind of let that dream fade away. That was until last summer I received a email from a mother of two who was at the end of her first trimester and wondering if I would be interested in photographing the birth of her third child! Wow! The opportunity fell into my lap so how can I not accept even though I was terrified AND so excited!! We met one evening to see if we would “click”. Seeing as I was going to be witness to one of the most intimate moments in this women’s life I thought that was very important. As I sat across from her and her mother everything just felt so right, so comfortable, I could do this! The rest is history, as they say!

One very early, chilly, November morning I got the call. THE call!! A few laughs, a few tears, and a few hours later he was here. Beautiful Emmett. Words cannot express how thankful I am to this family for trusting me to photograph one of the greatest moments in their lives. I will cherish that memory forever.

“I am thrilled to have had a photographer at the birth of little Emmett to capture all of the precious moments. The laughter, the tears, the joy, and right down to the exact time my baby was born. I cannot say enough great things about Lisa and her talent. If you are at all on the fence about having a photographer at the birth of your child, I want you to do it. I worry you will have regrets if you don’t. It was the most amazing thing to sit down with my family when Emmett was a few weeks old and watch every detail that Lisa captured. As you all can tell by her photo’s she is one talented woman. Lisa was so professional and respectful during the whole birth experience; I hardly noticed that she was there doing her magic”
